Choosing LLumar PPF coverage and finish in Georgia
A useful PPF request specifies both the film and the panels to cover. Start with the vehicle, paint condition, everyday use and desired appearance. Then agree the coverage with an installer and request the exact material from Detailing Mall.
Request PPF selection and price1. List the panels, not just a package name
Write down each panel: for example, bumper, bonnet, wings, mirrors or rocker panels. Clarify whether the bonnet and wings are fully or partly covered. For full-body work, agree the painted surfaces included and any exclusions. Names such as ‘front package’ can describe different scopes; a marked photo or panel list makes offers easier to compare.
2. Match the finish to the intended appearance
LLumar Platinum Gloss has a glossy finish; Platinum Matte is intended for a flat appearance, including restyling glossy paint. Platinum Extra is a thicker, glossy option positioned for more demanding use. Compare a sample on your paint and ask for the exact product code. For a matte restyle, discuss the appearance of uncovered panels and visible boundaries before choosing partial coverage.
3. Tell the installer about the existing paint
Disclose repainted panels, repairs, chips, existing PPF and coatings. LLumar’s FAQ distinguishes original paint from repaired or aftermarket paint for warranty purposes. Ask the installer to assess preparation and compatibility before confirming the work. PPF does not repair existing paint damage; agree separately how any defects will be handled.
4. Compare offers for the same work
Ask each offer to specify the film, covered panels, preparation, old-film removal, edge treatment and work schedule. Clarify what is included in the price and which decisions remain subject to inspection. Detailing Mall handles product selection and sales; installation work is agreed with the partner. Material price alone does not describe the cost of a finished installation.
5. Request care and warranty documents
Ask for instructions for the exact film: first wash, suitable cleaning products, edge care and inspection after installation. Self-healing refers to certain surface scratches; do not assume it restores stone chips, cuts or every kind of damage. Confirm regional warranty coverage, exclusions, proof of purchase and the installer’s responsibilities before paying.
6. Confirm the product order
Check the code, finish, required quantity, available supply format, stock, price, payment and delivery. Let the installer confirm the material requirement from the agreed coverage and cutting plan. Discuss any substitutions before purchase, because a different finish or product may change the intended appearance and specification.
